The National Assembly for Wales Outreach Team had a presence at Wales Council for Voluntary Action’s Annual Conference on Thursday 24 November 2011. The event, which was held in Llandudno, aimed to provide third sector organisations with skills, resources and support to develop in the future. Various workshops were delivered throughout the day as well as speeches by key speakers. Some of the workshops included guidance on how to maximise use of digital media and social marketing techniques. The last workshop was about influencing the National Assembly for Wales. Representative from Voices for Change Cymru spoke in detail about some of the key ways of having your voice heard, including Assembly processes such as petitions, consultations and committee inquiries.
